Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps Food Truck Sundays

The Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps will host Food Truck Sundays beginning Sunday, May 16 and will run every Sunday (except July 4) until September 26 from 4pm - 8pm in our Pavilion located to the rear of our Station. There will be 5-7 different food trucks every week as well as Live music, venders and a local brewery. Fun for the entire family. Visit our Facebook page, Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps Food Truck Sundays that will list the trucks coming each week. Our live entertainment schedule will also be listed on our face book page. 2nd Sunday Hymn Sing

The Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank was founded in 2012 and is the regions only basic needs supplier. We partner with local social service and community agencies to distribute diapers, wipes, and other basic needs to families and individuals that would otherwise struggle to afford them. Our Mt. Pleasant location opened last year to serve families in Westmoreland and Fayette Counties and have distributed over 100,000 diapers this year. Bingo 4 Babies is our first fundraiser in Westmoreland and the first in two years! Come celebrate our accomplishments, win cash prizes, all while supporting the 1 in 3 individuals struggling to afford basic needs.

Virtual Event/Farm & Bay to Table: Sneaky Snacks & Meals for Healthy Back-To-School Days

"Sneaky Snacks & Meals for Healthy Back-To-School Days" is the theme of the Sept. 9 episode of "Farm & Bay to Table," a virtual series produced by Harford County Public Library and Chef John Shields' Our Common Table, that highlights Maryland farms, fisheries and local businesses. The program will be presented via Zoom from 7 to 8 p.m.Chef, author and television personality John Shields joins library CEO Mary Hastler in preparing healthy snacks and meals as students go back to school, sourced with Maryland ingredients. Joining them will be special guest Joan Norman, from One Straw Farm in White Hall.The program will focus on preparing veggies galore for snacking, along with dips that kids will love. Viewers will also learn how to sneak in nutritious ingredients with recipes like homemade ranch dressing with sprinkles (yes, sprinkles!), a hummus PB&J and a versatile zucchini "crab" recipe that makes a delicious snack or meal. Participants will also learn how to use Farmer Joan's pasta and greens for a quick and easy dinner.
